Ethnos: Description of the project

The international youth exchange “Ethnos: arte e cultura unite contro il disagio sociale” will last 9 days, excluding the travelling days, from the 30th of July till the 09th of August 2012. The project will involve 25 participants and 6 leaders from 5 countries (Italy, Turkey, France, Bulgaria and Hungary). The Youth exchange will take place in one of the most interesting and old part of the city of Siracusa in eastern Sicily. The applicant has a tight connection with the district and has a good history of cooperation with the local institutions. The main themes of this project are visual art / Sicilian traditional art of “Opera dei Pupi” and social marginalization. The youngsters will take part in artistic and crafting activities and at the end of the project the participant will put together an exhibition.
